5 dead, 1 wounded in Pagadian shooting incident

Pagadian City – At  about 7:30 in the morning  of September 13, 2016, Shooting transpired at Purok Dumalian, Barangay Lourdes, Pagadian City wherein 5 dead on the spot and 1 wounded during the incident.

The fatalities identified as Marianita Agbonesa Pitogo, 36 years old, married, and Baranggay Captain of Purok Durian, Lison Valley, Pagadian City; Renato Magdadaro Malanti, 40 years old, married, (Common-law-husband of Marianita Pitogo; Rosalinda Gonzaga Enodio 38 years old, married;  Rosalita Agbonesa Cagas-38 years old, married; Rowell Gonzaga Edoquio 36 years old, married; and Susan Manusay Hunis-(Wounded), 30 years old, married.

Initial Investigation disclosed that the victims departed from the house of Barangay Capt.Pitogo aboard a Military type Jeep, driven by victim Renato with the rest as passengers going to Dao, Pagadian City to attend an activity relative to “Megayon Festival” upon reaching the muddy and curved area of the road along Purok Dumalian, Barangay Lourdes, Pagadian City, the victims were attacked/waylaid by unidentified persons believed to have positioned themselves at the shoulder of the road using bushes and grasses as cover, hitting the different parts of their bodies that resulted to their instantaneous deaths.

Victim Susan Manusay Hunis, suffered GSWs in her leg and thigh but survived the attack and was rushed by a passing single MC (Habal-Habal) to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment. The suspects believed to have ran down the cliff as their exit after the commission of the crime

         The Crime Scene was processed by the Zamboanga Del Sur Crime Laboratory Office and collected and now under their custody the following pieces of evidence.  09 pieces fired cartridge cases for Caliber 5.56; and 07 pieces fired cartridge cases for Caliber .30.
