Zamboanga City - A man was arrested after a kitchen knife and an
illegal drug were found in his possession at about 10:00 in the morning of September
18, 2016 at Purok Maabi-abihon, Barangay Pobalcion, Malangas, Zamboanga
Sibugay.
Suspect was identified as Julfad Mama Y Sultan, 33 years old, married,
and a resident of Campo Muslim, Brgy Poblacion Malangas. He was carrying a
kitchen knife brandishing along the road going to Petron Gas Station near the
public market when the PNP elements of Malangas MPS responded to the place.
PNP elements incidentally discovered from the possession and control of
the suspect one (1) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing
white crystalline substance believe to be “shabu” and one (1) piece of aluminum
foil both enclosed in piece of cut grade school writing paper which he hid in
his color black wallet and one (1) piece lighter color green from his right
pocket.
Inventory of seized items was conducted at the police station and
witnessed by Hon. Albert Balagon, Sanguniang Bayan Member and Hon. Wilma C
Mejia, Brgy Councilor of Brgy Poblacion, Malangas. Arrested person is now under
custody of Malangas MPS while a case of illegal possession of bladed weapon (BP
6) and violation of section 11 and 12 of RA 9165 were now being prepared for
