MANILA -- Chemical companies mostly from China and first-time
investors in the country are taking part in the 1st ChemExpo 2017, which runs
from Nov. 24 to 26 at the Hall D of the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
A total of 82 exhibitors featuring agricultural chemicals, pesticides,
electronics and lighting solutions, plastics, and rubber participated in the
event.
The chemical industry is one sector that can provide cost-effective and

Exhibitions Services, which organized the event.
“We foresee a market in the ChemExpo here to support the local
industry," Lee said.
Chemicals, he said, have a variety of applications, including

pharmaceutical, and cosmetics, which are all primary consumer products in the
Philippines.
Aside from exhibitors, the exposition also featured a seminar delivered

penalties corresponding to the importation or possession of such banned
materials.

Resources (DENR) discussed the possible effects of mishandled chemicals, as
well as waste-to-energy processes that would be beneficial for the environment.
oard of Investments (BOI) director Angelica Cayas gave the exhibitors
