Zamboanga City, Philippines - An unidentified group of person, who was wearing black
uniform, allegedly having a meeting at the vicinity of Talon-Talon, Zamboanga
City at about 4:17 PM of December 4, 2016, which cause to the resident to be
alarm.
Personnel of Tetuan Police Station proceeded to said place and were able
to apprehend twenty one (21) officer members of alleged United State Alliance
Freedom Fighters of the East (USAFFE) and were brought to said office.
Initial investigation revealed that said group were using the PNP and
AFP logo and in their ID and shirt allegedly they are supporting the PNP
organization and Armed forces of the Philippines.
Under Art. 179 of revised penal
code unauthorized using of PNP and AFP insignia or logo or if not a member of
such organization is prohibited and punishable by the law.
Seventeen (17) Identification Cards were confiscated and Four (4) shirts
were also confiscated as evidence to be submitted in court.
Said members were released after the interrogation/investigation and
profiling. Said police office is still conducting thorough investigation to
file the case in court.
