Mati, Davao Oriental - New DENR Secretary
Gina Lopez visit Davao City last August
4 and 5. The two-day visit
of the secretary gathered 4,000 civil society advocates and communities
especially the Lumads because they are mostly
affected by environmental problems from
all over Mindanao.
The activity dubbed as “State Of Mindanao Environment Day
With Sec. Gina”
The Lumad Mindanaw Peoples Federation (LMPF)
represented by Fr. Joel E. Tabora, SJ, president of AdDU and Atty. Felix S.
Alicer, OIC Regional Director of DENR-XI, give thanks to Secretary Lopez because she valued and
protect the invironment even she’s not an environment secretary before. She is
a good environmentalist. Said Father Tabora during his speech.
“This will be a day of listening, engaging
and celebrating – she will listen to our issues, we will engage her on action
areas and together celebrate this meaningful partnership for our common home,” Tabora
added.
The major activities include: Dialogue-Forum,
