Libungan celebrate 55th Founding Anniversary

Libungan, Cotabato - The the 55th  foundation Anniversary  of the municipality of Libungan  started with the Inter-Faith or Religious Sector Forum,  Palarong Pinoy,  Open Hip-Hop competition with the presence of the Back Street Boys dance group from Manila, local games, lechon parade and search for Libungan beauties  will be the highlights of the said celebration.

The long week celebration also open the  Inter-Barangay SportsFest opened; volleyball for women and basketball for men.  In the evening, a Battle of the Band commenced the nightly activities. This year’s theme celebration is: KABAG-OHAN UG KALAMBOAN SA KATAWHAN ANGAY TABANGAN, AMPINGAN UG PASALAMATAN.

Opening of the Agro-Trade Fair also one of the highlights of the anniversary  together  the launching of the KATAMBOLIT as Libungan’s Festival.It’s a combination of KAUMAHAN, TAMBOLAN & LITSONAN.

Mayor Amping Cuan

The newly elected Mayor Christopher “Amping” M. Cuan  said, that he is very thankful to the Libunganeous  of being supportive to the programs of the government more particular the founding anniversary celebration of the said municipality. “I will do my best, to help and support the people of Libungan especially those in far-flung barangay’s that needs the government programs”, said mayor Amping in an interview. “ In this activity, I will show the public my sincere services for the people of Libungan”, I will do my best as I can” he added."Amping Libungan" .(by: Becky D. de Asis/ The Redline News desk)
