At least 700 suspects on drugs surrender to region 9

Zamboanga City – Police Chief Supt. Billy B. Beltran, regional director of Police Regional Office 9, told reporters earlier that the Oplan Double barrel program of the police was very successful due to  voluntarily surrender  of more or less 700 drug user’s in the region’s since the newly elected president Rodrigo Duterte ordered police the anti-drug’s campaign against drug user’s, pusher’s and drug lords throughout the country.

Beltran added that he urged the people of Zamboanga Peninsula especially those drug user’s, pusher’s and drug-lords to come out and surrender immediately to the police because they have an immediate solutions to those positive in drug test and non-positive, he added.

Beltran said that the police boosts morals since the president supported police and says, “do it and I will die for you” during his speech in Malacanang earlier. “This is not only a ‘ningas kugon’ or just a pa pogi points of the police but this is real implementation through a good and peaceful governance of the present president of the Philippines,” said police in an interview.

Although Beltran refused names those 4-police personnel in the region who are positive in drugs while they conducted drug testing earlier, he is very positive that his region has only few policemen involved in drugs compared to other regions, said Beltran. (by: Becky D. de Asis/theredlinenews)
