Davao Oriental grand winner photo-contest by REDD-plus

This photo entry of Eden Jhan Licayan of Mati City, Davao Oriental was the  Grand Winner in  photo contest sponsored by REDD-Plus Systems Philippines/German International Cooperation (GIZ) that bags P15,000 cash and certificate. 

The photo contest was conducted by  REDD-Plus project sites such as Albay, Eastern Samar and Davao Oriental to  inspired with the theme, “Safeguarding Biodiversity and Forests for the People.” 

 Photo shows the ridge of "Black Mountain in Mount Hamiguitan" Range Wildlife Santuary, now UNESCO World Heritage Site, a world class biodiversity heaven located in the province of Davao Oriental having a height of 5,315 feet.
