CAMP BAUTISTA, Jolo, Sulu – Three Abussayaf members dead wit teir two firearms recovered by Marine
Battalion Landing Team-3 (MBLT-3) during the recent encounter more or less 20 fully armed
terrorists under ASG leader Radullan Sahiron at Sitio Buling-Buling, Bryg. Suh,
Panamao, Sulu last Friday.
The firefight lasted about 10 minutes and the bandits withdrew toward
different directions leaving behind their comrades cadavers of Peping Jamalul,
brother-in-law of Radullan Sahiron; Aldi Abtahi, son of ASG sub-leader Amlon
Abtahi; and, Nelson Rajak.
Military recovered, One (1) M16 rifle and one Caliber .45 pistol both with magazine recovered by the Marines at the encounter site.
The dead bodies of ASGs were immediately turned-over to the
Barangay Officials of said locality for proper disposition.
‘We attribute the latest combat success against this notorious Abu
Sayyaf Group to the LGU and local residents of Panamao who pinpointed the terrorists location, we are grateful not just to them but to all peace-loving Tausugs who
are positively responding to our call to end terrorism in Sulu", said Brig. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana, JTF commander.
"We are
optimistic that with your active to support and we will be able neutralize the
remaining terrorists and ‘win the peace and that is the key to development of this
