Cotabato City - The Department of Public Works and Highways of the
Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DPWH-ARMM) marks its 27th year of
existence last December 13, 2017.
The 27th year anniversary celebration of DPWH-ARMM was very successful and meaningful because
Secretary Mustapha "Don" Loong was giving awards to those truly working Districts
Engineers and employees through-out the region in order to recognized their dedication to serve and help the people to uplift their living condition.
Through this theme "DPWH-ARMM: Uplifting people lives by paving
the road to opportunities with quality infrastructure through transparency and
technology". This department's theme urging each districts to do more
projects in order to boost the living condition of the people especially those in
far-flung Barangay's.
District Engineer Abdulmunir I. Hadjirul of 1st Engineering District of
Sulu received more Best Awards both minor and major categories.
The said awards they received are based on their projects implementations
and more qualifications to be considered before they qualified the awards.
There were Eight Districts offices in the whole region of the DPWH-ARMM.
Each district received awards and commendation based on their expertise of
works and implementations.
DPWH Chief Executive, Don Loong narrated stories about the eight
districts engineers who worked 24-7 a
week even the peace and order situations in their respective districts is not really
yet stable due to different reasons and
encounters between the terrorists and the government forces.
Meanwhile, Governor Mujiv Hataman
also said, he is very appreciated all districts engineers and employees of the
DPWH-ARMM through Secretary Don Loong because the ARMM region were started to grow
and a well-developed region soon in the country because of the efforts of all
working engineers in the fields that will never surrender even the Abussayaf,
Maute and other criminals wants to hamper the project implementation they will
