Bayanihan Community Outreach in Patikul, Sulu

Military Dentist and Doctor together with the civilian counterparts jointly share their expertise to the people of Patikul, Sulu  during Bayanihan Community Outreach on January 12, 2017.

Patikul, Sulu, Philippines (The Redline News Philippines) - As a second activity for 2017, the 35th Infantry (Makamandag) Battalion initiated the second Bayanihan Community Outreach in Latih, Patikul, Sulu.

The successful launched of the first Bayanihan Community Outreach in Latih, Patikul, Sulu on October 15, 2016 to the 1,300 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as beneficiaries created a strong blow against the Abu Sayyaf Group while the Focused Military Operation was ongoing.

Free services such as medical consultation and tooth extraction with appropriate medicines, supplemental feeding and distribution of shoe box (filled with school supplies) to 200 children, distribution of 500 mosquito nets and 300 packs of assorted relief goods and concert for peace were given to the people at barangay Latih hall vicinity, the evacuation center.

Just the same, on January 12, 2016 another Bayanihan Community Outreach conducted in Sahaya Islamic Integrated Learning Center, Latih, Patikul, Sulu benefiting 672 populace coming from barangay Danag, Bongkaong and Latih all of Patikul, Sulu.

These events were successfully accomplished with the help of Local Government of barangay Latih and municipality of Patikul, Sulu, DSWD Sulu, IPHO Sulu, Joint Task Force Sulu, 501st Infantry Brigade, Sulu-Tawi-Tawi Chapter Dental Association, Brown and Burk Philippines, Inc. and Camp Bautista Station Hospital.

Once again, the spirit of Bayanihan was observed in helping Tausug people towards peace, progress and development of Sulu province.(PR/posted by Becky D. de Asis-The Redline News Philippines)
