New Drug pusher arrested in Lanao Norte

Bernard Herrera Mabasa alias Bernie was arrested by Tubod police for illegal drugs and gambling.

Tubod, Lanao Del Norte (The Redline News Philippines ) - PNP Tubod conducted drug operation in  relation the ongoing  Campaign Against Illegal Drugs at Purok-5A(TCES), Brgy. Poblacion, Tubod of the said province.

Reports from PNP PCR Tubod said that at about 11:15 in the morning of January 4, 2017, a cellular phone call was received by the PNP station from concerned citizen informing that there were persons who engaged in illegal gambling such as “Tong hit” card game and cara y cruz (hantak) at Purok-5A(TCES) of the said place.

Immediately the PNP elements led by PO3 Elwood K Malanog under the direct supervision of Police Chief Inspector  Javier S. Tanog, Acting Chief of Police proceeded to said place.

Suspect  Bernard Herrera Mabasa  alias Bernie, Pusher, ,41years old, widow and a resident of Sitio Aloha, Purok 5 (RCMS), Brgy. Poblacion, Tubod, Lanao del Norte was apprehended while engaged in illegal gambling known as “tong hits” together with other unidentified players who were able to run away bringing along with them the bet money and playing cards upon sensing the presence of the responding elements.

The PNP team was  conducted a body search and confiscated one (1) piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu placed inside an empty container of vicks vapor rub from the sling bag color black of the suspect.

Despite of several warning to be cooperative, suspect attempted to disarm the arresting personnel wherein during their struggling, the firearm fell to the ground and upon taking back of the firearm, the suspect take the chance to ran away bring along with him his sling bag leaving behind the said confiscated suspected sachet of shabu.

When the suspect was chased and advised to surrender, he continue running away that prompted the arresting personnel to shot at him and later he arrested and the the police brought the wounded suspect to Lanao  Norte Provincial Hospital in Baroy  for medical treatment.

Inventory and markings of the confiscated evidence was conducted at LDN Provincial Hospital, Baroy, Lanaodel Norte and was being witnessed by Mayor Leoncio Bagol, Municipal Mayor of Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
