9 ASG dead, more wounded including leader Radullan Sahiron during military operations in Sulu

Patikul,  Sulu - Operating troops of 4th Special Regiment Battalion  under  army Captain  Carandang, 15th Special Regiment Company  under Lt. Maravilla, 13th  Special Regiment Company  under Cpt. Marco, encountered almost 150  Abusayaf Group in Patikul last august 26  under ASG Leader Radullan Sahiron, Sub Leaders Amah Maas, Idang Susukan, and Hairullah Asbang at Sitio Maikata, Brgy Danag, Patikul, Sulu.

The firefight lasted almost 1 hour were  Resulted the death of 9  ASG sub-leaders and members while on government side were 14 slightly wounded.  35th Army Captain Domingo Reyes said that the ASG fatalities were the  Sub Leader  Amah Maas, ASG Sub Leader Hairullah Asbang, Sub Leader Latip Sapie, alias Omar (son of Amah Maas) and 5 undetermined dead bodies of abussayaf group, while un-acounted  number of them were seriously wounded to include ASG Sub leader Hairullah Asbang alias Pathfinder a trusted sub leader of Sahiron, Reyes said.

Reyes added that on the same day, another firefight happened at around 12:10 in the afternoon that resulted to the death of  4 ASG members. The cadavers were retrieved during the clearing operation  conducted  by the military  on the same day.

 The cadaver were identified thru the help of their relatives while the other 2 were only identified by their aliases, The ASG Fatalities were Hatim Aklam, nephew of ASG Leader Kahal Mohamad alias Apo Maas, a certain Saldy alias Ampatuan, Amil and Aljun Ahang.

The ongoing military operations in Sulu, after the reports reached by the President about the kidnap victim beheaded in Sulu earlier. the President ordered soldiers to “Kill the enemies of the state and he immediately  deploy additional troops in Sulu and Basilan to crack-down the bandits and crush them.

Duterte  was angered of  beheading of   the 18 year old kidnap victim Patrick Almodovar in Jolo, Sulu  after the families did not reached the 1 Million ransom
