Kuratong Baleleng and Dragon Group member was shot to death by police in Ozamis City

Ozamis City, Philippines (The Redline News Philippines)  - The Kuratong Baleleng and Dragon group member  in Ozamis City was  shot to  death by arresting  police in Ozamis City yesterday.

PNP 10 official said that on April 6, 2017 at about 1:45 PM, personnel of Ozamis City Police Station led by Police Inspector Agustine Arazo , Chief Intelligence / Investigation Section under the supervision of PCInsp. Jovie Respenido , OIC, Ozamis CPS armed with Search Warrant of Arrest  No. 17-10 for violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms) duly issued and signed by Exec. Judge EDMUNDO PINTAC of RTC Br 15, 10th Judicial Region Ozamis City against Anthony Theodore Z. Tamparong  yesterday afternoon.

The search team coordinated to  the Brgy Officials at the said place for serving a search warrant against Tamparong, an Army 1Lt (RES) of 903rd CDC, Camp Dominguez, Sinacaban, Misamis Oriental and member of Kuratong Baleleng / Dragon Group at his residence in P-9 Brgy Carmen Annex, Ozamiz City, said police.

The PNP team arrived at the said place and went directly to the house of the respondent together with the Brgy Officials. 

During the execution of search warrant, the said suspect ran and retrieved his calibre .45 pistol from his bedroom and fired upon at the arresting PNP personnel.

The police officers prompted to return fire that resulted to the death of the suspect.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession and control of  one Cal. 45 pistol M1911A1 US ARMY bearing serial number 201673 loaded with six pcs of live ammos.

Also recovered at the crime scene were four pcs empty shells of cal 9mm, one pc empty shell of cal .45, one pc steel ammo box color green place beside the bed containing three pcs misfired ammo of cal 5.56mm, 16 pcs live ammo for cal 5.56mm, one pc live ammo for cal .380, one pc M203 grenade / explosive (40mm) practice M781, several IDs, handcuffs, bayonet scabbard, military compass and three pcs ammos box containing 150 pcs empty shells of cal 45 pistol.

All recovered evidences were brought to the PNP Provincial Crime Laboratory for ballistics examination and custody.

Police Chief Supt. Agrifino G.
