Barangay Poblacion of Sitangakai cried out for medicines - no medicines allocation from DOH

Sitangakai, Tawi – Tawi – The Barangay officials of this municipality cried out for help from the Department of Health due to insufficient supply of medicines coming from the region.

Barangay Captain Rowena Kong Ahaja together with her officials allocated budget for medicines for their constituents because they have more patients asking medicines and among others.

“Meron kaming bagong Health Center, pero wala talagang supply, kahit mga upuan, table, higaan para sa pasyente ni isa wala”, We need the help of our ARMM Health Secretary to please give us a little attention because we have a small MOA here to support the medicines of our constituents’, Ahaja said.

Sitangakai has 40 thousands registered voters and almost 60 thousands individuals out of 9 barangays.

The municipal government here under Mayor Serbin C. Ahaja allocated  budget  from his 20% Development Fund for the rehabilitation of some foot bridges connecting  poblacion to other barangays in order to give good services but they have minimal budget for medical services here.

Therefore, Barangay Captain Rowena Kong Ahaja  slashed her budget just for medicines in order to help the needy indigents communities. (By: Becky D. de Asis - The Redline News)
