5IB and CAFGU Personnel Donates Blood for the Needy Constituents

Brgy Del Pilar, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines - The 5th Infantry (Duty-Bound) Battalion (CADRE) under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Marces T. Gayat  of Philippine Army  participated the Joint Bloodletting activity of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Zamboanga del Norte andBombo Radio Philippine Chapters headed by Ms.Everlyn V.  Pamagan,Acting Station Manager, Radio Bombo Philippineson November12, 2016at Lee Plaza Central,Dipolog City.
The activity started at 9 o’clock in the morning with an orientation of the donors given by Ms.Ferlyn A.Candelaria, OIC of PRC-ZDN Chapter whereinshe discussed the benefits of blood renewal to the body by having sufficient supply of oxygen. A total of twenty-five (25) bags equivalent to eleven thousand two hundred and fifty cubic centiliters (11,250cc)of blood were successfully extracted and turned over to the PRC after the activity.Among the qualified blood donors were the 5IB personnel, the Zamboangadel Norte CAFGU Active Auxiliaries(CAAs) and Special CAA personnel of Dipolog City.

TheDuty-Bound Battalion is relentlessly supporting the PRCin its endeavor tosustain the availability of affordable blood supply for the less fortunate citizens. For the Duty-Bound troopers, it is one of our waysin giving assistance to the needy especially those who suffered dengue disease. Our strong desire to continue supporting this activity will remain as we pursue our goals thru the effort of this undertaking dubbed as "Dugong Alay,DugtongBuhay".(posted by Becky D. de Asis - The Redline News Philippines)
