Brgy Del Pilar, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte,
Philippines – About 1,200 Lanao del Norte CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) coming
from different Patrol Bases of Charlie (Cadre) Company together with their
dependents had benefitted the 5th Infantry (Duty-Bound) Battalion’s CAA
Health Care Program during the third program implementation
held at Brgy. Tacub Gym, Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte earlier of October 30, 2016.
The CAA Health Care Program
dubbed with the theme: “Kabayanihan mo,
saludo ako. Kalusugan ko, pangalagaan ko.”, was recently launched last May
21, 2016 at Tabak Gymnasium, Kuta Major Cesar L
Sang-an, 1ID, PA, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur and was first
implemented at Bravo (Cadre) Company Area in San Miguel Gymnasium, Poblacion
San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur on September 24, 2016. According to Lieutenat Colonel
Marces T. Gayat, Commanding Officer of 5th
Infantry Battalion of Philippine Army.
The said program was
conceptualized with the aim to enhance the health conditions of the CAAs and
their dependents by providing them with sustainable health care and education
in order for them to perform well in any of their given tasks and functions while
maintaining peace and security in their respective communities and area of
operations.
The said activity, the
military also conducted medical and
dental civic action activity to CA dependentand and beneficiaries including free medical check-up and consultation; dental
check-up and tooth extraction; circumcision; blood
sugar test; deworming; free haircut, pedicure,
manicure, massage, feeding and free medicines, vitamins.
Among the stakeholders the
Bayanihan spirit extended their support and generosity by giving their free medical
and dental services as well as free medicines are: Hon.
Governor Imelda Q. Dimaporo; PAMET Iligan; Provincial
Health office of Lanao del Norte; Municipal Health personnel of Kauswagan, LDN, CMO Bn headed by CPT Janlodin M. Sangacala of Philippine Army; Medical and Dental personnel of Kuta Mayor Cesar L
Sang-an Station Hospital headed by 1LT. Daisy G.
NC PA; and other concerned stakeholders.
Col. Gayat awarded the participants and facilitators with certificates
of appreciation and coffee mugs as a token of thanks and gratitude for their
