Interfaith walk for peace launched in Sultan Naga Dimaporo



Sapad,  Lanao del Norte-The Bravo Company of  15th Infantry (Molave Warriors)  Battalion, 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division Phil. Army participated the Interfaith walk for peace and reconciliation headed by  Ltc. Audie A. Mongao Commanding Officer of 15th Infantry Battalion  of Philippine together with his officers Lt. Marlouie S. Dicen, 2nd Lt. Jun Rey Villiamor and 1Lt. Arnel P.  Lozada launch the interfaith walk for peace in the said municipality of Lanao Del Norte earlier (October 14,2016)

The said activity was headed by Board Member  Grecille Maataalines Matalines together with the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte headed by Christy Navarro Atay, Provincial Vice Governor of the said province. The events also participated by some police officers and commanders of the province headed by P/SSupt. Faro Antonio O. Olaguera and other local government of Sultan Naga Dimaporo headed by Mayor Ulwan M. Dimaporo with his personnel and employees. Also the students and religious sectors coming from  Muslim and Christians populace of the said municipality.

The highlight of the activity was signing of PEACE COVENANT and pledge of Support.

The main objective of this activity is the awareness of sustainable peace.

The said interfaith  is an opportunity for people from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds to interact with each other and build bridges instead of walls, said Olaguera during the interview.

This activity is a joint collaboration of the Provincial government of Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Norte Interfaith Council, the Municipality of Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao del Norte, 15th Infantry (Molave warriors) Battalion, 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Phil Army the Philippine National Police, the Universal peace federation Mindanao, the Committee on Culture, Arts and Interfaith Relations.
