Zambopen police recorded 5 shooting incidents in just 24 hours – drug related denied

Zamboanga City - Shooting incident transpired at in front of Capitol Park Inn, Duterte Street, Corner Urro Street, Gatas District, Pagadian City On October 2, 2016, at about 2:55 AM wherein victim identified as Logan Natividad Y Sabdani, 39 years old, male/gay, single, Filipino, TESDA Teacher (ZCAT), temporarily residing at Duterte Street, San Jose District Pagadian City and with a residence address in Zamboanga City was shot by unidentified male person several times with the use of cal .45 based on the fired cartridge cases recovered at the crime scene.

Victim sustained one gunshot wound on his head and multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body that causes his untimely death.

The cadaver of the victim was brought to Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Pagadian City. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Another, Shooting incident transpired at Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City On October 2, 2016 at about 9:20 in the morning  wherein victim identified as Ligaya Dingal Epanto, 40 years old, female, married, housewife, and a resident of said place was shot by unidentified person wearing a dark green t-shirt, short pants and with bull cap with the use of unknown type of firearm while sweeping at the balcony of their house.

Said victim now confined at Hofileña Hospital, Pagadian City. No spent shells recovered at the crime scene. Motive of the incident is still to be determined by the police.

On the same day,  another shooting incident transpired at Purok Roxas, Brgy Sto. Niño, Pagadian City On October 2, 2016, at about 8:20 in the afternoon ,wherein victim identified as Ronie Labiaga Cabungcal, 30 years old, male, married, self-employed and a resident of said place was shot by two (2) unidentified male persons on board an orange and black raider 150 wearing a black jacket with hood with the use of cal .45 based on the three (3) fired cartridge cases found at the crime scene.

Victim sustained three (3) gunshot wounds on his right cheek and was immediately brought to Pagadian City Medical Center but after a few minutes later, was pronounced dead at around 9:10 in the afternoon of same date by the attending physician.

Suspects fled to unknown direction after the incident. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Meanwhile, another reported shooting incident in the same province transpired at Purok 7, Brgy Balugo, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur On October 3, 2016, at about 12:45 AM where in victim identified as Gemar Sabanal y Villamor, 26 years old, single and a resident of said place was shot several times by unidentified suspect/s with the use of Cal .45. Victim sustained two (2) gunshot wounds at the back portion of his body that causes his untimely death.

Recovered at the crime is scene one (1) fired cartridge case of cal .45. Said victim previously arrested by Tambulig Municipal Police officers  on August 05, 2014 by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by  Judge Carol M. Morales of MTC Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur  under CC# 3073 for the crime of homicide.

But subsequently released from the office of BJMP-Tambulig after the complainant signed and executed affidavit of desistance. Motive of the incident is still to be determined by the police.

In Zamboanga Zibugay province on the same day, reported shooting incident transpired at Purok 6,Sitio Singkilon,Brgy Baga,Naga ZSP at about 4:45 in the afternoon of Oct 2 2016 wherein  Uting Mokite was shot and wounded by Jeffrey Violeta y Arancis using a 12 GA Shotgun.

Victim was rushed to Ipil Provincial . Hospital for Medication while suspect was arrested by responding PNP elements of Naga MPS.

Recovered/confiscated from the suspect is the one (1) unit 12 GA Shotgun Shooter with SN SS08122408. Suspect and recovered FA were brought to Naga MPS for proper deposition. (compiled and edited by Becky D. de Asis-the redline news desk editor with report by P/Supt. Rogelio C. Alabata and
