The Philippine Army of Bravo Company of 15th Infantry Battalion,
3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division in collaboration with the Local Government
Unit of Sapad, Lanao del Norte, Faculty and Students of Panolo-on National High
School headed by Mr Dante Alboroto-School Principal and civilian populace
initiated a Peace Rally dubbed as “Walk for Peace” at Brgy. Panolo-on in the
Sapad Town LDN on May 15, 2017.
After which Zumba Dance was conducted to serve as warm up exercise
before the Kickoff Ceremony of BRIGADA ESKWELA 2017 or the National Schools
Maintenance Week (NSMW) with the theme: “Isang Deped, Isang Pamayanan, Isang Bayanihan
Para sa Handa at Ligtas na Paaralan”.
The activity aims to bring all education stakeholders to participate
and contribute their effort and resources for conducive and lasting peace in
preparation for school opening.
Aside from Walk for Peace, some of the highlights of said activity were
Zumba Dance, Free Haircut services, Ground cleaning and Beautification.
The objective of the activity is to gain support from youth sector
especially the students and communities in attaining long lasting peace in
Lanao del Norte and also to show to the general public that the ARMY is sincere
to support the peace and development in the area. It was also the way to “win
the peace” with the efforts of civilian populace and stakeholders.
The activity also enhances strong partnership with the Department of
Education, LGU’s and other stakeholders in order to exemplify the true “Spirit
of Bayanihan” for the future of the next generations.
A dedicated 15IB personnel which possessed audacity, respect and noble
attitudes who flagged their fashion in the municipality of Sapad and the
Province of Lanao del Norte as a whole will continuously work together, to
ensure sustainability in peace, stability and development efforts in the in the
