Lt.Col. Marces T. Gayat installed as New G1 Officer of 1st Div., PA - 500 military applicants undergo military training


Zamboanga City (The Redline News Philippines)  – Brigadier General Rolando Joselito Bautista, Commander General of 1st Infantry Division of Philippine Army presided the change of Chief of Office of personnel operation Lieutenant Colonel Marces  T. Gayat installed as news AC of S for personnel, G1 while  Lieutenant Colonel Elmer B. Suderio of Philippine Army as a new G3, operation officer.

The two decorated Officers took post on their new position as primary staff of the Command last  Thursday, May 11 at the Division Conference Room at 1st Division of Philippine Army, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Meanwhile the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, Philippine Army under the leadership of Brigadier General Rolando Joselito D Bautista will recruit 500 more army personnel from applicants who will undergo military training this year, military official said.


Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom) Information Officer Cpt Jo-Ann D. Petinglay disclosed that the recruitment is part of the Transformation Roadmap of the Philippine Army in order to beef-up its personnel nationwide. 10,000 more personnel will be recruited for this year alone.

The applications are open to all aspiring soldiers who must possess the following qualifications:

1) a natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
2) at least 18 to 26 years old before the date of appointment as a candidate soldier;
3) at least 5’0 or 6'0 inches in height;
4) single and without a child;
5) of good moral character;
6) physically and mentally fit for military training; and
7) with at least 72 units in college, or, if a high school graduate, must possess technical skills needed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The candidate soldiers must pass the pre-qualifying Physical Fitness Test and Physical Medical Examination, and submit the following documents:

1) original copy of Transcript of Record and Diploma for college graduates;
2) Form 137 for high school graduates; and
3) original copy of birth certificate with official receipt from the National Statistics Office.

Cpt. Petinglay said that the applications will be accepted starting this month for the oath-taking ceremony this October 2017.

"All those who are interested can proceed to the nearest Brigade and Division headquarters to ask or inquire," says Brigadier General Rolando Bautista, Commander of the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, Philippine Army.

The Philippine Army reiterates that no monetary requirement was set for the filing of application, Cpt. Petinglay added.

"The application is free. Kahit sino na makapasa sa requirements na naitalaga ay pwedeng pwede na mag apply at wala pong bayad yun, " BGen Bautista adds. "Kinakailangan kayo ng inyong Army.
