Lamitan, Basilan (By: Becky D. de Asis- The Redline News) – The Department of Public Works and Highways of
Basilan District Office continue to build and construct a multi-billion
projects of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao even the skirmishes or
firefight between the Abussayaf groups and the government forces continues.
District Engineer Soler Undug said , the firefight is not the hindrance of building the future instead, continue and doubled their efforts to build this P250-Million pesos of Basilan Government
Center and were able to finish this
coming November 2017 as ordered by the Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman through
the efforts of DPWH Secretary Mustapha Don Loong.
The Basilan Government Center a satellite office of the
Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman in order to cater Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provinces as part
of the autonomous region.

Aside the P250-Million of Basilan Government Center, the governor also
released almost P1.20 Billion Basilan Trans-central roads composed of 55 kilometers
(concrete) connecting Lamitan roads down to Sumisip and other far-flungs areas of Basilan wherein the
ASG /bandits hubs located.

Loong of DPWH-ARMM assured the early
completion of this multi-billion flagship projects of Governor Mujiv Hataman by early of 2018.
The regional government of the autonomous region will continue their endeavour by uplifting the living
conditions of the people, believing that they were not engage any criminalities or other un-lawful activities that may cause of destruction like Marawi City.
Meanwhile, District Engineer Soler Undug added, there are some finished projects already turned over to stakeholders or
recipients like; Basilan Ports, Senior High School Buildings,
road concreting, sea wall and more projects were about to finish this year end ,
