Joint efforts of Army, PNP and LGU to secure the 51st Araw ng Nunungan successful

Sapad Lanao del Norte (The Redline News)  – The  Nunungan town  celebrated  the  51ST ARAW NG NUNUNGAN earlier  and it  was very succesful despite the threats and the on going firefight in adjacents province continue.

The personnel  of Bravo Company of 15IB, 3ID, PA under 1LT  Marloque S. Dicen (CE) PA, Commanding Officer secure the town to made the celebration succesful with the help of PNP and LGU.

The soldiers also joined the the 51st ARAW NG NUNUNGAN 2017 with the theme: “One Goal, One Journey Towards Change.” 

This said activity was facilitated by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Nunungan, LDN headed by Hon Marcus M Mamay, Municipal Mayor and started with the Static display of the Infantry Rifle Squad organization;  civic parade which participated by the AFP/PNP;LGU Officials; all Barangays under the said municipality.

Faculty and students of different schools and other national line agencies then followed by the Opening Program which were attended by Mr Allan Almoite representative from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP); Engr. Edwin B Andot, Regional Director-DENR-10; Dir. Faisar A Mambuay, CESO IV, Regional Director-DAR 10; PI JERSON PORIO,COP Nunungan MPS; Deped; all Barangay Officials; visitors from the different palces and other stakeholders who witnessed this prestigious events. 

As part of the celebration different activities were highlighten to make the said events more meaningful and enjoyable by the civilian populace and other visitors which included barangay booth competition; Ball Games (Basketball, Volleyball and Chess); Dance comptetition; Larong Pinoy to gave importance of Filipino culture; Qur’an reading competition and the concert of Tarapas sa dessert and the famous Datu Khomenie Bansuan known as the king of Moro Songs which merely entertained the local populace and ended with the culmination program and giving of awards for the winners of different games and competition. 

The four (4) days celebration of the 51st ARAW NG NUNUNGAN 2017 was successfully conducted through the highten security and assistance provided by the personnel from Bravo Company of 15IB to make their activity more meaningful and unforgettable in the since that this is the first time of Hon Marcus Mamay as Mayor of Nunungan to witnessed and facilitated this events.

The LGU and local populace were very much appreciated and thankful to the personnel involved and gave their best to maintain the peace and security  because according to some officials that this is the first time in history that the municipality of Nunungan celebrated with no untowards incidents occur and it is peacefully conducted. 

Despite of the declaration of Martial Law in the entire Islands of Mindanao, The 15IB of the Philippine Army under the leadership of Lt. Col. Ericson V. Rosana INF (GSC) PA continue its mission to protect the state and respect of Human Rights. (posted by Becky D. de Asis-The Redline News)
