P56-Million Eco-Park of Bongao inaugurated



Bongao, Tawi-Tawi ( By: Becky D. de Asis- The Redline News) – Governor Mujiv Hataman of the Automous Region in Muslim Mindanao with the Department of Public Works and Highways under Secretary Mustapha Don Loong  inaugurates over  P56 Million Pesos of access roads and development of Bongao Peak, eco-tourism park last Monday of July 03.

The project aimed at the preservation and conservation of the peak under the Memorandum Agreement between the regional Government and the Municipal Government of Bongao under Mayor Jimuel Que.

The projects also includes the construction of Tourists Center, concreting about 2,400 steps, installation of railings for support and protections, sheds, viewing decks, canteen and visitors hub.


According to ARMM Tourism Secretary Ayesha Dilangalen, around 2,000 tourists visited the peak every week. It is a big helps  that the development of this eco-tourism, the Bongao Peak will boost the economy not only in Bongao but throughout the province, said Sec. Dilangalen.

She added, the regions recorded more than 1 Million tourists arrival in Tawi-Tawi last year,  hopes that this year, the records will double.

Meanwhile ,Governor Rashidin Matba said, now he heads-up to face the people of his province because  he fullfilled the promises he made before, a well developed and progressive  Tawi-Tawi.



 “Hindi ko inaasahan na sa loob ng isang taon ng aking panunungkalan, inuulan ako ng mga proyekto, I am very thankful to the Autonomous Region especially Governor Mujiv Hataman and Secretary Don Loong of being supportive of  my endeavour”. (The Redline News)
