Medals to soldiers confined at the Army General Hospital during a ceremony held
at the AGH lobby in Fort Bonifacio, July 3, 2017.
Some 32 soldiers were casualties
at the Marawi siege while two soldiers sustained gunshots wounds in an
encounter with the Abu Sayyaf Group terrorists in Sulu, one soldier was hit in
a clash against the New People’s Army; and another soldier was a casualty
during a reinforcement effort during the Mamasapano incident.
The Army Chief commended the
soldiers for their gallantry and for their firm stand to battale with the
threat groups to defend the land and protect the people.
Although still confined at AGH, they are raring to return in the field
to fight against the terrorist.
