Masiu, Lanao del Sur, Phili[ppines -- Ominta Romato Maute a.k.a. Farhana, mother of
the leaders of the Local Terrorists Maute ,Omar Romato Maute and Abdullah
Romato Maute, was arrested at 7:15 PM of June 9, 2017. Farhana was said to be
buying vehicles and firearms for their escape outside Lanao del Sur province.
Upon confirmation of the information, Joint Task Group- Marawi Commander, PNP
PSSUPT ROLANDO ANDUYAN organized troops from PPSC, Lanao del Sur PPO and PNP
SAF and immediately left for Masiu, Lanao del Sur at 2:25 in the afternoon.
Arrested were Farhana, two unidentified wounded members and seven
unidentified female personalities who were at the act of escaping on board a
Gray Revo at Brgy Kormatan in Masiu. Several high powered firearms and IED were
confiscated from their possession.
The arrested suspects and confiscated items are in the custody of JTF
Marawi for further investigation and proper disposition.

its men to be more vigilant and persistent that Marawi may be freed from the
