Calatrava, Negros Occidental – Through pursuit operation of troops under 62nd Infantry Battalion
engage a firefight against Local Terrorists Group (LTG)
at South Mahusay, Brgy Cambayobo,
Calatrava, Negros Occidental at around 9
o’clock in the morning of June 22, 2017.
The incident transpired due to the liquidation activity of the rebel
groups. Around 7 o’clock this morning a certain Mr Norberto “BEBE” Lumayno, 56
and Mr Danilo Braga, 46 were shot to death by suspected Local Terrorist Group
(LTG).
The victims acquired multiple gun shor wounds from M16 and AK47 rifle
that causes their instantaneous death said military.
Military added , Upon they receiving the reports , the troops immediately
conducted pursuit operation in the area to apprehend the perpetrators at a round 10 o’ clock in the morning,
the troops betwen military and rebels
engaging firefight that lasted to 10 to 15 minutes.

disclosed that the rebels fled towards different directions leaving behind
their belongings including the high powere fire arms, flags and other subversive
documents .
The troops recovered the following: 1 Cal .45 HICAP ARMSCOR, 1 Hand
Grenade, Subversive Documents, 1 Portable Gas Stove, Medical Accessories, 2 NPA
flags, 9 Bag packs (2 Military 7 Civilian), 2 Transistor Radio, P270 Cash, Food
stuff, 1 Hammock and Other belongings.
Lieutenant Colonel Darrell R Bañez INF (GSC) PA, the Commanding Officer
of 62IB condemns the rebels that they criminal
and their barbaric activities he
stated,.
“The 62IB will continue to conduct pursuit operation to eliminate the
Communist Terrorist in order to bring them to justice. Likewise, we will
continue to protect the people from fear and intimidation against Local
