DATU ODIN, Maguindanao, Philippines -- Police here arrested, in three
separate anti-drug operations here, three persons allegedly engaged in illegal
drugs Tuesday dawn.
Chief Inspector Achmad Alibonga, the town’s police chief, identified
the three drug suspects as Rahmloyd Usman, 34, Aladin Sangcupan, 34 and Zamal
Salaman Wahid, 47, all residents of barangsy Dalican, here.
Alibonga said the drug buy-bust operations were conducted in
coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous
Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM).
He said Usman, who hails from Barangay Dinaig proper, was arrested in
Barangay Semba after he handed over to a poseur buyer three sachets of shabu.
Two more sachets and marked money were recovered from him during the 5 a.m.
drug buy bust.
About 30 minutes later, police also arrested Sangcupan after a buyer
secured a sachet of shabu from him.
At 7 a.m.of the same day, police arrested Wahid, a pedicab driver, was
arrested while driving in Barangay Dinaig proper when he turned over to his
passenger, a poseur buyer, a sachet of shabu.
Now detained at DOS town lock up cell, the suspects are facing
violation of Republic Act 9165.
Since the Duterte administration, at least 80 drug suspects have been
arrested in anti-drug operations in town.
Across the province, police listed more than 600 persons have arrested,
seven killed and 6,450 have voluntarily surrendered. (EOF/PNA)
