The Three (3) Human traficking victims from Luzon was investigated by PCG, PNP and MIACAT of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi |
Bongao, Tawi – Tawi, Philippines (By: Becky D. de Asis-The Redline PH) – Due to the implementation of Martial Law in the
whole Mindanao, the Philippine Coast Guard based in this province strictly
implementing the rules and
guidelines more particular the coast line of Bongao to iradicate and manhunt
criminals and violators of the law.
The Philippine Coast Guard while conducted several patrol along port area
of Bongao, they received reports from
coast guard sea marshal of MV Ever Queen
of Emilia that there was Trafficking in Persons or TIP in the vessels (June 16, 2017).
Immediately the PCG- Bongao responded the reported human trafficking were three (3) passengers of MV Ever Queen of Emilia from Zamboanga - Bongao illegally traveled by their facilitator
in the person of Samaria M. Hambali or Shariff Noronaim A. Shariff Mohammad based on her dual Passport and Senior Citizen Identification Card presented. She is from Parang, Maguindanao, said Coast Guard.

Lt. Euphraim Jayson Diciano of Bongao PCG said that the three (3) victims namely;
Arrogante Balonaza, 26 years old,
resident of Pinagkuartelan, Pandi, Bulacan, Mary Joy de Guzman, 24 year old,
also in Pinagkuartelan, Pandi, Bulacan and Vanessa Barbiera Aleta, 26 years of
age and resident of Pembo, Makati City.
Immediately, Rosabelle Salani of Municipal
Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (
MIACAT) and the Provincial Police Office headed by Police Senior Inspector Elmira Relox
immediately arrived at the office of
Philippine Coast Guard to conduct interview and interrogation to the victims and the facilitator in order to
give an immediate action against the
facilitator and saved the TIP victims, said Diciano.
Meanwhile, PCG Renato Gunhuran, Jr also added that he is very thankful of the coordination of MV Ever Queen of Emilia Capt.Salvador T. Elegabes through the coast guard
sea marshal informing the said TIP
incident. " Most of women victims are vulnerable on sex trading or prostitution and other women exploitation" he said.
Lt. Diciano also said , the three(3) victims and the facilitator Samaria M,
Hambali was turn over to Tawi-Tawi Provincial Police Office for further
investigation and appropriate charges against the suspect.
