NCRPO on full alert for Independence Day

MANILA, Philippines    -   The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is now on full alert in line with the country’s observance of the 119th Independence Day on Monday.

In a statement on Sunday, NCRPO spokesperson Chief Inspector Kimberly Molitas said all security preparations will be in place to ensure a peaceful and orderly observance of the holiday.

”Security protocols will be followed during the traditional (Independence Day) celebration at the Luneta Park and all other events area in the Metro (Manila),” Molitas said.

She also stressed that “protocols set by the Southern Police District (SPD) and event organizers during concerts shall be implemented”.

With this, the NCRPO encouraged the public to cooperate with authorities and remain vigilant in order to thwart acts of terror.


”We wish to emphasize that the success of security in any event is a collective effort, hence, cooperation is requested from all stakeholders,” Molitas said. (Priam F. Nepomuceno/PNA)
